My husband and I have been together for 21 years now, married 17 and have 3 children together. He is brilliant (most of the time) and has more energy than most of my friends husbands so the age gap has never been an issue Tracys Husband....
There is a legal consent age of 16, but some rules mean that an individual can have a prosecution relating to a child under 18.
My friend rang me today and mentioned that her 16 year old daughter is dating a 38 year old guy! I know she is not underage and hope I'm not speaking our of turn when I say : what is a man who's nearly 40 wanting with a 16 year old? I would be really upset if it was my daughter Should I say something to my friend? So can't go out for nights out, drink, drive etc How the hell did they meet??
Still classed as a child although they can legally have sex.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Netmums mobile app Just because it's legal doesn't make it right. Speaking from someone who is happily married to a man 25 years older than me I think that at 16 a girl should not be dating a 38 year old.
when DD is 16 her Dad will only be 34, he'd go mental if she was "dating" someone 4 years older than him especially if she was only 16!!! Pot calling kettle black really but I was 23 when I met my hubby. I looked older than I was (always had done) and he looked younger. At 23 though I had already had a little bit of a life.
My teenage years were behind me and I had a good job and was ready for a relationship. The 38 year old might not just be using her for one thing but he does need to let her go and grow up, do teenage things.
If they both feel the same in 5 years then it is meant to be.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Netmums mobile app I think this is creepy. Still classed as a child although they can legally have sex.
